The RB52 is a 12V 52Ah lithium marine deep cycle battery. The RB52 offers abundant power in a small footprint. It’s versatile and compact enough to be used in many marine applications including smaller boats with lower battery requirements, boats that require two of the same batteries and boats with electrical systems designed for just one battery.

The RB52 is a lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery with more power, less weight and up to 10x longer life than its lead-acid counterparts. Lithium is the logical choice for marine applications where you need a longer run time and reliability. RELiON lithium batteries provide more energy for high consumption than traditional lead-acid batteries. Lead-acid batteries also need to be maintained. If they are not maintained properly, their life span is shortened. Because lithium batteries require no active maintenance, a one-time purchase guarantees better lifetime value.

PRODUCT REVIEWS

Clint B.

Grabbed 3 of these RB50 Batteries to run my trolling motor. I was mostly looking to shed some weight from the boat and they did exactly that!! Removed 170lbs from the back of the boat and she comes up on pad like never before!!

Lester R.

So far they are working great. Very good tech support.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use my existing lead-acid battery charger (Wet, AGM or Gel) to charge RELiON lithium iron phosphate batteries?
Most likely, yes. Our lithium batteries are very charger-friendly. Most chargers today have a lithium charge profile, which is what we recommend using. AGM or gel charge profile chargers will work with our batteries. We do not recommend the use of a flooded charge profile with our batteries. These chargers may reach the overvoltage protection limit and disconnect. It won’t damage the battery but will likely result in charger faults. See our Lithium
Can I use my alternator to charge my lithium iron phosphate batteries?
RELiON batteries can be charged with most alternators. Depending on the quality of the alternator, it should work with LiFePO4 batteries. Low quality alternators with poor voltage regulation can cause the BMS to disconnect LiFePO4 batteries. If the BMS disconnects the batteries, the alternator could be damaged. To protect your LiFePO4 battery and alternator please be sure to use a compatible high-quality alternator or install a voltage regulator.
Why are lithium marine batteries better than lead-acid alternatives?
Heavy lead-acid batteries drag your boating speed and performance down. When you have a small boat, a heavy battery also reduces your fuel consumption efficiency. Instead, you need a lightweight marine battery that’s optimized for high performance. Rechargeable deep cycle lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries are one-third the weight of lead-acid alternatives. In addition to providing benefits such as higher capacity and more runtime between charging, lithium batteries offer many advantages out on the water due to their lighter weight.
